Now on the iPhone X. iCam is for stitching together video and audio files that you may have made "on the road". Its designed with the interview or on-the-spot-reporting in mind. It can be used to put together a full news report in one video file, that can be transmitted at a later time perhaps attached to an email. The back office can take care of production editing from your transmitted file.
Take a number of video files - to the camera or away from the camera, and record a separate audio track into your audio music folder. Back at the base or on the road, you can select the best videos to use to merge one at a time into a full sequence, then add the audio to the last one as a voice-over, or simply put backing music behind the video.
To join more than 2 videos is just a matter of joining A+B = C, then C+D=E, then E+F = G, then add the audio track. The audio track addition will overwrite any audio already on the video tracks.
This new version is much smoother, more robust, and for the in-field reporter and allows you to capture multiple videos, along with audio, and stitch the clips together into one long video with your own commentary overlaying the whole clip. All of this one package that runs equally well on the smallest iPhone, the SE up to the largest iPad. Operates equally well in Landscape or Portrait mode.
It has been reworked with the Roving Reporter in mind. Find yourself in the middle of a hot-spot somewhere in the world. No need to worry about bulky highly visible cameras on your shoulder. Just use your phone or tablet. Stitch the video together complete with audio, on the spot, and send it directly from anywhere in the world with WiFi or a 4G signal. Direct to your editor or production manager. Be on the news as it happens.
